Job summary

Crystal Sugar Company seeks a skilled House Mechanic - Packaging in Drayton, ND to maintain and optimize packaging equipment. You will inspect, replace parts, align, balance, install, and refurbish machinery while collaborating with Production to ensure effective interventions.

Welding carbon steel and stainless steel will be required as part of fabrication tasks. The role requires a 2-year technical degree or millwright apprenticeship (or a high school diploma with 5+ years of millwright

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or millwright apprenticeship or high school diploma with 5 years of millwright experience.
• Candidates will be required to take a millwright, welding and basic skills testing.
• Safety Screen will be required to safely execute duties.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, replace parts, align, balance, install and refurbish equipment.
• Understand operating principles and optimize equipment performance.
• Work with Production to ensure maintenance interventions are appropriate and effective.
• Perform joining and fabrication tasks including welding carbon steel (SMAW, GMAW) and stainless steel (SMAW).

Education

2-year technical degree in Industrial Technology / Manufacturing Technology / Mechanical Design / Machinist & Toolmaker or related field

State-approved millwright apprenticeship (non-ACS)

High School diploma or GED with millwright experience
