Job summary

Highland Pellets in Arkansas is seeking a Millwright/Industrial Mechanic to execute planned and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and read blueprints and schematics. You will work with hydraulics, lubrication, and mechanical systems, focusing on safety and reliability.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in millwright roles, OSHA 10, MIG and stick welding skills, and willingness to work nights or weekends. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or college preferred.
• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience as a Millwright/Industrial Mechanic required.
• One year of In Plant Manufacturing Experience.
• OSHA 10 Training and Experience; MiG and stick welding experience.
• Exceptional mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist in all tasks, jobs, and repairs.
• Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work at heights >80 feet, use man lifts, and lift 50 pounds.
• Must maintain compliance with LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work and Working at Heights policies.

Responsibilities

• Execution of the Planned and Preventative Maintenance schedule.
• Troubleshooting by applying critical thinking to identify, diagnose and repair equipment problems.
• Analyze and understand blueprints, schematics, and layout plans.
• Maintain all equipment, tools, and workstations; improve equipment optimization and reliability.
• Maintain logs of labor, materials and equipment used; communicate deficiencies to team and management.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal codes and regulations; participate in 5S and root cause analysis initiatives.

• Must be able to Analyze and Understand Blueprints, Schematics, Layout plans and other materials.
• Demonstrated Knowledge and Skills in Hydraulics, Lubrication, and Mechanical equipment; basic understanding of types of lubricants and application of each.
• Ensure all work is performed in a timely and safe manner.
• Maintain all equipment, tools, and workstations.
• Ability to utilize skills to Improve equipment Optimization and Reliability.
• Maintain logs, and record labor, materials and equipment used.
• Effectively Communicate to all Team Members and Management any equipment deficiencies.
• Meticulous Attention to detail; able to follow instruction both written and verbal.
• Participate in Breakdown Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Focused Improvement, and 5S projects.
• Ensure workers adhere to Local, State and Federal Codes and Regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience as a Millwright/Industrial Mechanic required.

• Ability to work Independently and Utilize Critical Problem Solving and Decision-Making skills to Generate and Implement Solutions throughout the Process.
• Must maintain Compliance within all LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, Working at Heights Policies.
• OSHA 10 Training and Experience.
• Experience of MiG and stick welding.
• Exceptional Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist in all tasks, jobs, and repairs.
• Ability to work extended hours to includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work at heights in excess of 80 feet, use man lifts, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work outdoors, rotating shifts, and lift 50 pounds required.
