Job summary

Highland Pellets in Pine Bluff, AR is seeking a skilled Millwright/Industrial Mechanic to execute maintenance schedules, troubleshoot equipment, and uphold safety standards on site.

You will read blueprints, apply hydraulics and lubrication knowledge, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in root cause analysis and 5S projects. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and heights as required. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience as a Millwright/Industrial Mechanic.
• One year of In Plant Manufacturing Experience.
• Ability to work independently and use problem solving to generate solutions.
• Compliance with LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, and Working at Heights policies.
• OSHA 10 Training and experience.
• Experience with MIG and stick welding.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist in repairs.
• Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work at heights beyond 80 feet, use man lifts, and in confined spaces.
• Ability to work outdoors, rotating shifts, and lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execution of the Planned and Preventative Maintenance schedule.
• Responsible for Troubleshooting by Applying Critical Thinking skills to Identify, Diagnose and Repair equipment problems.
• Must be able to Analyze and Understand Blueprints, Schematics, Layout plans and other materials.
• Demonstrated Knowledge and Skills in Hydraulics, Lubrication, and Mechanical equipment; basic understanding of types of lubricants and application of each.
• Ensure all work is performed in a timely and safe manner.
• Maintain all equipment, tools, and workstations.
• Ability to utilize skills to Improve equipment Optimization and Reliability.
• Maintain logs, and record labor, materials and equipment used.
• Effectively Communicate to all Team Members and Management any equipment deficiencies.
• Meticulous Attention to detail; able to follow instruction both written and verbal.
• Participate in Breakdown Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Focused Improvement, and 5S projects.
• Ensure workers adhere to Local, State and Federal Codes and Regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
