Job summary

Highland Pellets, LLC. is seeking a skilled Millwright/Industrial Mechanic for our Pine Bluff, AR facility. The role focuses on executing maintenance plans, diagnosing equipment, and improving reliability while adhering to safety policies.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in millwright work, 1 year in plant manufacturing, OSHA 10, and the ability to work nights/weekends. We offer competitive benefits and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Millwright/Industrial Mechanic required.
• 1 year of in-plant manufacturing experience.
• OSHA 10 training/experience preferred.
• Must follow LOTO, confined space and related safety policies.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Execute Planned and Preventative Maintenance schedule.
• Troubleshoot by applying critical thinking to identify, diagnose and repair equipment.
• Analyze blueprints, schematics, and layout plans.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and workstations; ensure timely work.
• Improve equipment optimization and reliability; record labor/materials.
• Communicate deficiencies to team and management; follow instructions.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execution of the Planned and Preventative Maintenance schedule.
• Responsible for Troubleshooting by Applying Critical Thinking skills to Identify, Diagnose and Repair equipment problems.
• Must be able to Analyze and Understand Blueprints, Schematics, Layout plans and other materials.
• Demonstrated Knowledge and Skills in Hydraulics, Lubrication, and Mechanical equipment; basic understanding of types of lubricants and application of each.
• Ensure all work is performed in a timely and safe manner.
• Maintain all equipment, tools, and workstations.
• Ability to utilize skills to Improve equipment Optimization and Reliability.
• Maintain logs, and record labor, materials and equipment used.
• Effectively Communicate to all Team Members and Management any equipment deficiencies.
• Meticulous Attention to detail; able to follow instruction both written and verbal.
• Participate in Breakdown Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Focused Improvement, and 5S projects.
• Ensure workers adhere to Local, State and Federal Codes and Regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent education; trade school or college preferred.
• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience as a Millwright/Industrial Mechanic required.
• One year of In Plant Manufacturing Experience.
• Ability to work Independently and Utilize Critical Problem Solving and Decision-Making skills to Generate and Implement Solutions throughout the Process.
• Must maintain Compliance within all LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, Working at Heights Policies.
• OSHA 10 Training and Experience.
• Experience of MiG and stick welding.
• Exceptional Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist in all tasks, jobs, and repairs.
• Ability to work extended hours to includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work at heights in excess of 80 feet, use man lifts, and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work outdoors, rotating shifts, and lift 50 pounds required.
