Overview
Greiner Industries is seeking a skilled Electrician who will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment. The role ensures the safe and efficient operation of plant power and control systems, troubleshooting electrical issues, and performing preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of industrial electrical systems, be proficient in reading schematics and blueprints, and hold a Journeyman Electrician certification.
Sign‑On Bonus & Shifts
- $2,500 Sign‑On Bonus
- 1st and 2nd shifts available
- Earn 15% more by working on 2nd shift
Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and company safety policies.
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions and make necessary repairs or replacements.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, control panels, motors, and other electrical components.
- Assist with power distribution and ensure proper grounding and circuit protection.
- Collaborate with engineers, maintenance personnel, and other team members to support plant operations.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and installations.
Minimum Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
2–4 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Journeyman Electrician Certification required.
- 3–5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety regulations, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Experience with PLCs, motor controls, and automation systems preferred.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing tools and equipment.
- Independent and team oriented in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights, and stand for extended periods.
