Georgia-Pacific’s Rocky Creek Lumber mill in Frisco City, Alabama is seeking a Millwright to ensure safe, reliable operation of industrial machinery on a 12-hour shift. The role offers day or night rotations with a base pay of $28 per hour, depending on experience.

We value candidates with three+ years of millwright experience, a technical degree or studies, and ability to read drawings and align motors, bearings and pumps. CMMS experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of mechanical millwright experience in an industrial environment.
• Associate’s Degree or two years of study from a technical college in Industrial Maintenance or Industrial Technology.
• Experience with reading and understanding mechanical drawings.
• Experience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings and pumps.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery.
• Install and align new equipment.
• Perform periodic preventive maintenance activities, including lubricating, changing fluids and filters on mobile equipment for improved reliability and up-time.
• Assist in the development and implementation of reliability-centered maintenance strategies.
• Apply simple problem-solving methods such as 5Y to reduce and eliminate failures.

Are you a millwright who is self-motivated, and committed to safety? Then we have the job for you! Georgia‑Pacific’s Rocky Creek Lumber mill in Frisco City, Alabama is now hiring for a Millwright.

This is a 12‑hour shift. Days or nights. Shift is form 6:00am to 6:00 pm days and 6:00 pm to 6:00 am nights.

$28 per hour and up based on experience.

Our Rocky Creek facility produces a variety of products from southern yellow pine, including dimensional lumber and squares/timbers. Georgia–Pacific’s building product business has consistently been among the nation’s top suppliers of building products to building materials dealers and large warehouse retailers. What You Will Do

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial machinery
• Install and align new equipment
• Perform periodic preventative maintenance activities, including lubricating, changing fluids and filters on mobile equipment for improved reliability and up‑time

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatics systems
• Experience troubleshooting issues and making repairs on gearboxes, bearings, chains, sprockets, conveyors, etc.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Three or more years of mechanical millwright experience in an industrial environment
• Associate’s Degree or two years of study from a technical college in the fields of Industrial Maintenance or Industrial Technology
• Experience with reading and understanding mechanical drawings
• Experience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings and pumps
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Manufacturing System (CMMS)
