Job summary

Sulzer is seeking an experienced industrial technician to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot complex machinery in manufacturing plants, refineries and power facilities. The role emphasizes precision alignment, calibration, and preventive maintenance to keep equipment operating safely with minimal downtime.

You will disassemble and inspect compressors, turbines, gearboxes and other rotating equipment, assemble as directed by supervision, and carry a full set of professional tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s License.
• Ability to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification credentials(TWIC).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interface with personnel from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability learn technical and design aspects for Rotating Equipment service and repairs.
• Physical ability to work in a shop and field environments.
• Travel is required.
• Experienced in driven equipment repair such as generators, compressors, and pumps.
• Experienced in alignments.
• Professional presentation, in manner, attitude, appearance, speech, and dependability, to the customer at all times.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, and assemble compressors, turbines, gearboxes, expanders and other rotating equipment
• Assemble machines as per instructed by Supervisor
• Possess a sufficient quantity of professional hand tools to adequately perform daily assignments
• Continuously upgrade knowledge of projects, materials and procedures to better perform duties including safety cards
• Report any instances of spillage, uncontrolled exposure or other related safety issues to their line manager.
• Ensure the correct use of waste segregation facilities and the efficient use of natural resources and raw materials.
• Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide LEAN and EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
