Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational program or apprenticeship in machining is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Machinist, with a strong understanding of various machine tools and machining principles.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Strong knowledge of various materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, brass, plastics) and their machining properties.
  • Expertise in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, etc.) and maintaining tight tolerances.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations relevant to machining operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes and improve product quality.
  • Document work performed, including measurements, materials used, and any issues encountered.
