Stellantis is seeking a skilled Millwright to install, assemble, and dismantle machinery and conveyor systems. The role involves locating equipment per floor plans and working with forklifts, hoists, cranes, and other tools to position components accurately.
You will interpret layouts and drawings, perform precision measurements, and use welding and torque wrenches to achieve exact tolerances on large projects. Flexibility for shifts and overtime is required.
The Millwright is responsible for installing, assembling, and, when necessary, dismantling machinery, conveyor systems, pulleys, mechanical clutches, gear boxes, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems. The Millwright will transport and locate machines and equipment to the desired location according to floor plans, or as directed using forklifts, hoists, winches, cranes and other equipment. Assemble machines or equipment from their component parts. The Millwright must understand how a machine functions to assemble and disassemble it properly. This may involve knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, and computer systems. The Millwright will use complex instruction books that detail the assembly of the machinery and use tools such as levels, welding machines, and hydraulic torque wrenches. The Millwright will also use micrometers and other precision measuring devices to achieve the extreme tolerances required. On large projects, the use of cranes is common. Work requires practical skill and knowledge and journey-level skill as a millwright. Candidate must be able to perform incidental tasks as required to complete the larger task.
