Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Millwright/Machinist to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot industrial machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will read blueprints, diagnose mechanical issues, and perform preventative and corrective maintenance with accuracy.

Ideal candidates possess hands-on experience with lathes, mills, grinders, and welding, plus OSHA lockout/tagout safety knowledge and strong teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Machine Installation - Install, align, and set up industrial equipment, conveyors, motors, pumps, and production machinery.
• Mechanical Maintenance - Perform routine and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Machining & Fabrication - Operate lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining tools to fabricate or repair parts.
• Troubleshooting - Diagnose mechanical failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Blueprint & Schematic Reading - Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to ensure accurate repairs and installations.
• Equipment Alignment - Use precision tools to ensure proper machine alignment.
• Welding & Cutting - Perform basic welding, cutting, and fabrication as needed for repairs or installations.
• Safety Compliance - Follow all OSHA, plant safety, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Documentation - Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift or aerial lift certification (preferred)

Schedule & Compensation

• Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
