Job summary

Boise Cascade is seeking a Millwork Truck Driver to deliver finished doors to customers and manage the safe loading, transport, and unloading of products. You will operate under DOT regulations, maintain logs, and report vehicle conditions.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL and at least two years of truck driving experience in all weather conditions. Flatbed experience and forklift familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED or two (2) years equivalent work experience.
• Must have a valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Ability to safely operate transportation equipment (tractor/trailer).

Responsibilities

• Deliver and distribute finished doors to assigned customers.
• Ensure safe loading, handling, transportation and delivery of undamaged door units and/or related product.
• Drive truck to destination applying commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations.
• Complete necessary paperwork and relay any customer questions or complaints to supervisor.
• Inspect for defects or problems before and after trips and submit reports indicating truck condition.
• Maintain vehicle in safe operating condition including service with fuel, oil, and water.
• Maintain applicable logs and records according to DOT regulations, Record of Duty Status (RODS).
• Assist associates in loading and unloading trucks or building loads as needed.
• Secure cargo for transit.
• Maintain a clean truck.
• Maintain good housekeeping in work area.
• Drive a light vehicle, such as a small truck or van, with capacity <26,000 pounds GVW.
• May load and unload vehicle.
• Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: HS Diploma, GED or two (2) years equivalent work experience. Must have a valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) and possess the ability to safely operate transportation equipment (i.e., tractor/trailer combinations). Two (2) years truck driving experience required. Must have working knowledge of DOT regulations and meet BC driver qualifications. Performs duties in all weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications: Flatbed experience preferred. Knowledge of building products and forklift experience a plus.
