Job summary

Bestmark National, a premier design-build firm, seeks a Purchaser in Irvington, NJ. The role focuses on sourcing materials, products, and services for millwork manufacturing and construction projects, coordinating with PM, Estimating, Production, and Accounting to ensure timely deliveries.

You will review requirements, obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and process purchase orders while maintaining strong supplier relationships and monitoring lead times and pricing to support project success.

Qualifications

• Previous purchasing/procurement experience required.
• Experience in millwork/construction/manufacturing preferred.
• Strong attention to accuracy and detail; excellent organizational ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to liaise with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Review project requirements, drawings, and purchase requests.
• Source materials, hardware, and services for millwork and projects.
• Obtain vendor quotations and compare pricing and lead times.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery with vendors.
• Create and process purchase orders per procedures.
• Communicate with vendors on pricing, specs, quantities, and delivery dates.
• Track orders and ensure on-time delivery per schedules.
• Maintain supplier network and coordinate with project teams.
