Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is seeking a Sales Specialist in Albuquerque, NM to engage customers, understand project needs, and drive home improvement purchases. You’ll become a product expert, explaining features, promotions, and financing options to close sales.

In this role, you’ll work across departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, and more, with opportunities for bonus and growth as you help customers achieve their home projects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of customer-facing sales experience or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience in a sales environment with goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with assistance.
• Obtain sales-related licensure or registration if required by state.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding customer needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, provide estimates, schedule installer visits, process orders, and track installations.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors/stores to find merchandise and replacements.
• Perform price reviews according to pricing policies and maintain pricing documentation.
• Support all checkout functions and department requests.
• Train associates on the sales floor and coach around development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
