Job summary

Lowe’s in the United States seeks a Sales Specialist to greet customers, uncover project needs, and guide them to the right products for home improvement goals.

You will become the product expert, explaining specifications, promotions, and financing options to close sales while delivering friendly, helpful service. You’ll work across departments such as Appliances, Flooring, Live Nursery, and more, with opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year in customer-facing sales or 6 months Lowe’s retail experience (or 3 years external sales or 18 months Lowe’s retail if education not met).
• 1 year of sales or customer service experience in a sales-driven environment with goals or metrics.
• Able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods.
• Minimally lift 25 lbs unassisted or more with assistance.
• Obtain sales-related licensure/registration if required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service by understanding needs and communicating product advantages.
• Serve as a point of contact for customers and vendors, providing estimates, scheduling installer visits, processing orders, and following up for completion.
• If in Pro Department, focus on external accounts and outside sales/services.
• Monitor inventory levels to support sales and coordinate with vendors/stores for stock replacements.
• Perform price reviews according to pricing policies and keep documentation updated.
• Support all checkout functions and assist colleagues as needed.
• Train associates on the Sales floor and coach on development needs.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
