Job summary

Nycom is seeking a talented Millwork Procurement Specialist to join our team. You will coordinate purchasing for construction projects, manage submittals, and develop scopes of work for vendors and suppliers.

You will build strong supplier relationships, oversee procurement for multiple projects, and resolve challenges through vendor collaboration. A strong background in construction procurement and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in CM, SCM, Business or related field.
• 3–5 years of procurement, purchasing, or construction industry experience.
• Knowledge of construction plans, specs, and procurement processes.
• Experience developing scopes of work and negotiating with vendors.
• Strong Microsoft Office and procurement software skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing activities for construction projects within budget, according to specs and schedules.
• Create and manage project submittals, ensuring contract compliance and customer expectations.
• Develop and write scopes of work for vendors, subcontractors, and specialty suppliers.
• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors; identify new supplier partnerships.
• Manage procurement for multiple projects simultaneously with timely purchasing and delivery.
• Coordinate specialty procurement including millwork, equipment, and custom materials.
• Analyze plans, specs, and scope to support procurement strategy and vendor selection.
• Collaborate with PMs, Project Engineers, Estimating, and Operations to support project execution.
• Resolve procurement challenges through research, vendor consultations, and problem-solving.
• Maintain accurate purchasing docs, vendor records, and procurement tracking systems.

• Coordinate purchasing activities for construction projects to ensure materials, equipment, and services are procured within budget, according to specifications, and aligned with project schedules.
• Create and manage project submittals while ensuring compliance with contract requirements and customer expectations.
• Develop and write detailed scopes of work for vendors, subcontractors, and specialty suppliers.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors while identifying and qualifying new supplier partnerships.
• Manage procurement activities for multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely purchasing and material delivery.
• Coordinate specialty procurement activities including millwork, laboratory equipment, and custom project materials.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope requirements to support procurement strategy and vendor selection.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Estimating, and Operations teams to support successful project execution.
• Resolve technical procurement challenges through research, vendor consultation, and problem-solving.
• Maintain accurate purchasing documentation, vendor records, and procurement tracking systems.

Requirements

Job requirements are as follows:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of procurement, purchasing, or construction industry experience.
• Knowledge of construction plans, specifications, and procurement processes.
• Experience developing scopes of work and negotiating with vendors.
• Strong Microsoft Office and procurement software skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience with commercial construction projects preferred.

Salary: $72,000 - 82,000 DOE
