Job summary

Nycom is seeking a field installation coordinator to support interior casework installations at construction sites. You will visit sites, document readiness, and coordinate with architects, owners and general contractors.

You will read drawings, manage field dimensions, schedule subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality. This role requires travel up to 50% and a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Ability to develop solid relationships with architects, facilities personnel, end users and general contractors.
• Physically able to work in the field at construction sites daily.
• Communicate accurately and timely with all Nycom departments and clients.
• Read and interpret architectural plans and shop drawings; carpentry and project close-out administration.
• Coordinate work with mechanical, plumbing, and electrical trades.

Responsibilities

• Visit construction sites and document progress and readiness for interior casework installation.
• Coordinate access, storage, readiness, schedule, phasing, hoisting, and site rules with GC and owners.
• Attend jobsite progress meetings.
• Perform quality control inspections of casework installation.
• Enforce Nycom installation standards.
• Coordinate with Project Management.
• Contract and schedule installation subcontractors.
• Enforce safety policies and jobsite cleanup.
• Coordinate deliveries of materials.
• Take field dimensions at jobsites.
• Evaluate schedule progress and ensure adequate manpower.
• Develop punch lists and ensure timely completion.
• Update Project Managers on project status.
• Responsible for completing each project on time and within budget.

Requirements

Skills Required:

• Communicate in an accurate and timely fashion with all departments within Nycom, as well as our clients.
• Skilled at reading and interpreting architectural plans and shop drawings, carpentry, and administration of project close out.
• Able to coordinate work with Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical trades.
