Job summary

Just Construction Recruitment's client in Caldwell, NJ seeks an experienced Millwork Engineer / CAD Draftsman to produce and review detailed AutoCAD shop drawings for architectural woodworking projects and to support CNC programming.

The ideal candidate will have strong AutoCAD experience, familiarity with WoodCAD|CAM or similar software, and the ability to read architectural drawings, interpret specifications, and collaborate with production and installation teams.

Qualifications

Proficient in AutoCAD with experience producing detailed shop drawings.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
Experience with millwork, cabinetry, carpentry or commercial interiors is highly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy; works well independently and in teams.
Familiarity with WoodCAD|CAM, Microvellum, iX or similar software is beneficial.
CNC programming experience is a plus, with training available.

Responsibilities

Draft and review detailed AutoCAD shop drawings for millwork projects.
Interpret architectural drawings, specs and project requirements.
Produce accurate drawings and documentation for manufacturing and installation.
Prepare CNC machine programs using CAD/CAM software.
Work with WoodWOP, WoodCAD|CAM, and CutRite software.
Coordinate with production to ensure drawings and programs are accurate.
Identify and resolve design, drafting and production issues.
Ensure drawings meet project specifications and production needs.
Manage tasks independently while meeting deadlines.
Collaborate with engineering, production, project management and installation teams.
