Talent Edge Recruiting is seeking a Drafting Engineer in the Elmhurst, IL area to translate architectural concepts into precise millwork drawings. You will work closely with production teams to move designs from CAD to manufacturing, ensuring accuracy for shop drawings and submittals.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional drafting experience.
• Strong CAD experience and ability to read architectural drawings.
• Experience producing submittals and detailed production drawings.
• Background in millwork or architectural interiors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed architectural millwork shop drawings and production drawings.
• Develop and process project submittals for client approval.
• Produce manufacturing-ready documentation and cut lists.
• Program CNC machinery and support production workflows.
• Create make-ready and assembly drawings.
• Perform material takeoffs and assist with project planning.
• Review architectural plans and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and project management teams.
• Support commercial interior projects across healthcare, office, retail, and multi-family spaces.
