Job summary

Millwork Recruiting Source is seeking a skilled Drafter to translate detailed designs into clear, buildable shop drawings for luxury cabinetry and architectural millwork. Onsite is preferred, but remote candidates based in Illinois or Wisconsin will also be considered.

You’ll work closely with project teams to ensure accuracy and timely delivery. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of drafting experience, strong 2D AutoCAD skills, and the ability to read architectural and interior design documents

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of drafting experience in custom cabinetry or architectural millwork.
• Strong 2D AutoCAD skills and experience preparing submittal or shop drawings.
• Able to read architectural and interior design documents and produce clear, dimensionally accurate details.
• Knowledge of millwork materials, hardware, construction methods, and installation considerations.

Responsibilities

• Create 2D AutoCAD submittal and shop drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, details, dimensions, and notes.
• Interpret architectural and interior design drawings, specifications, field information, and project markups.
• Show materials, hardware, appliance requirements, reveals, alignments, and installation conditions accurately.
• Incorporate review comments and approved revisions throughout the drawing set.
• Identify missing information or dimensional conflicts early and work with the drafting supervisor, engineering manager, and project managers to resolve them.
• Maintain organized drawing files and follow established drafting standards and revision procedures.
