Job summary

The Chimes, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Maryland to empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity and independence.

Join a mission-driven nonprofit that values compassion, teamwork, and growth, with a starting wage of $20.25 per hour. As a DSP you will follow care plans, provide personal support, document progress, administer medications as policies allow, and help create a safe, respectful living environment while encouraging

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in disability services preferred (not required—we train!).
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver's license with acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing and daily living skills.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some DSP roles will require travel between Residential and Day programs.
