Job summary

Allan Myers Inc. is seeking an Equipment Operator for our heavy civil construction projects in the mid-Atlantic region.

You will operate asphalt pavers, rollers, milling machines and related equipment, maintaining safety and daily upkeep while working with a field crew. This role requires at least 2 years of equipment experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to perform physically demanding work on busy construction sites.

Qualifications

• GED / HS Diploma a plus.
• 2 yrs of equipment operating experience is a necessity.
• Related work experience is a necessity.
• Valid Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Operates one or more types of construction equipment (e.g., asphalt pavers, rollers, milling machines, back hoes, skid steers) safely.
• Discusses plans with field manager and determines best method to complete work safely, productively and on time.
• Performs physical duties and routine maintenance such as cleaning and greasing equipment.
• Operates equipment with priority on safety for all workers nearby.
• Communicates clearly with crew to achieve daily goals.
