Job summary

American Italian Pasta Company, a Winland Foods enterprise, is offering a milling internship in Excelsior Springs, MO. The program exposes you to all facets of milling and facility management while tying coursework to real-world industrial experience.

You will report to the Mill Manager, work Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm, and gain hands-on project experience such as milling expansion, dust control design, PM programs, and process optimization. Wage is $28.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Power Point, Excel, Word basics plus ability to learn internal computer systems.
• Milling Science coursework or active studies in Milling Science preferred.
• Ag Business/Econ/Tech Management exposure is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Mill Manager who oversees milling department to attain optimum utilization of machinery, materials and labor, and to achieve optimum capacity, yields and overall cost reduction.
• Examples of summer projects can include: Assist with milling expansion; Assist with the preliminary engineering of a mill pneumatic system; Design a dust control system for a flour blending facility; Design and implement a Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program; Expand germ extraction and recovery system; Engineer extending a flour mill break system; Develop and implement a Master Sanitation Program.
