Voith US Inc. in Appleton, WI invites an undergraduate or graduate student in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering to join our Mill Services Internship.
The intern will assist in on-site mill service work, support rebuilds, create and update mechanical drawings with AutoCAD, and learn from the Service team while participating in a project and possibly travel up to 60%.
Strong technical aptitude, willingness to work in industrial environments, and familiarity with AutoCAD are preferred.

The Intern, Field Service – Mill Services position will assist in mill service work and strategy development for both current and future-state activities. This role will work closely with the VP of Service, Service Department Managers, and Millwrights to support hands‑on rebuilds, equipment inspections, and mechanical repair. The position will involve both office‑based technical work (e.g., mechanical drawings and documentation) and on‑site labor such as dismantling, inspecting, and rebuilding major paper machine components.
The ideal candidate should be an undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering. The applicant must possess strong technical aptitude, mechanical problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work in physically demanding industrial environments. Experience with AutoCAD and an interest in equipment design, repair, and maintenance are also important.
