Job summary

United Cooperative in Shawano, WI is seeking a Lead to supervise a team at the Shawano Feed Grain and Energy location. The role involves mixing feed, warehouse work, forklift operation, lifting 50-80 lb bags, and occasional work at heights.

You will report to the Feed Location Manager and help ensure quality feed and safety standards are met. We expect at least one year of relevant experience, strong equipment skills, and good communication with staff and customers.

Qualifications

• One year of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Skilled in operation of equipment.
• Understanding of DOT regulations.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, customers and the general public.
• Ability to lead a team to strive for success.

Responsibilities

• Run the control board/computer, enter ration data, and adjust mixes in an efficient manner.
• Receive inbound feed ingredients.
• Manage labor/trucks and planning.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Understand feed types and forms for sequencing.
• Ensure facility is well maintained.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and property and report findings to Location Manager.
• Make recommendations for improvements in the facility or to equipment.
• Follow up to ensure that work has been completed efficiently.
• Attend safety and related job trainings as they become available.
