Job summary

Gold Star in the northeastern U.S. is seeking a Warehouse Lead to supervise daily warehouse operations, optimize inventory accuracy, and uphold safety protocols within our dairy feed production environment.

You will lead hands-on teams, coordinate receiving, storage, and dispatch, and collaborate with logistics and production to ensure timely distribution of dairy feed products. Candidates should have experience in feed milling or related manufacturing and be comfortable with shift work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in feed milling, agriculture, food production, or manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts, loaders, and other mill equipment (certification a plus).
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Comfortable with shift work, weekends, or overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receiving, storage, and dispatching of dairy feed products, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Implement and monitor inventory control procedures, including stock rotation and loss prevention.
• Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment, complying with safety and hygiene standards.
• Track inventory levels, manage stock replenishment, and oversee quality checks.
• Prepare and maintain warehouse documentation, including inventory reports and incident logs.
• Collaborate with receiving, operations, logistics, and production teams to ensure seamless product flow.
• Enforce safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and implement solutions to optimize warehouse efficiency
• Drive a culture of safety, accountability, opportunistic curiosity and contributes to creating an environment where people want to work.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

Physical Demands:

• Indoor/outdoor mill setting with exposure to dust, noise, and temperature changes.
• Fast-paced team environment with a strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and quality.
• Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds, climb 75 feet of ladder, and be able to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
• May require working on a rotating shift or weekends depending on production needs.
