Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan's Henderson mine and mill offer an on-site equipment operation role in a safety-focused environment. You will perform skilled mill duties to produce copper and molybdenum concentrates and monitor processing systems across multiple plant areas.

The position requires six months of mill experience, competency assessments, and adherence to environmental and safety policies. On-site housing allowance is available for eligible employees, with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in mill process operations.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and written assessments.
• Knowledge of wet grinding and flow through mill and flotation areas.
• Understanding of filtering and drying processes.
• May require Hazmat training per DOT regulations.
• Knowledge of placard system for hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate mill processes at a skilled level for copper/molybdenum concentrates.
• Perform duties across mill sections: crushing, COB, ball mill, roughers, cleaners, flotation, and control room.
• Take process readings and adjust operations as required.
• Use electronic monitoring systems to oversee conveyors and plant equipment.
• Start up and shut down plant and related systems.
• Operate equipment and perform basic maintenance, reporting issues.
• May operate mobile equipment (loaders, forklifts, cranes).
• Maintain housekeeping and contribute to safety audits.
• Perform other duties as required.
