Freeport-McMoRan Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician for on-site support at our Colorado operations, including the Climax Mine area near Leadville and Frisco. You will help safely maintain and repair heavy equipment and complete maintenance documentation.

The role requires following English instructions, passing safety training, and readiness for a 24/7 shift environment. On-site housing allowance applies for eligible employees.

Responsabilidades

• Safely assist with maintenance and repair of heavy equipment such as haul trucks, water trucks, rubber-tire and track dozers, front-end loaders and motor graders.
• Assist mechanics with maintenance on transmissions, engines, brakes, differentials, pumps, motors, torque converters, final drives and other heavy equipment systems/components.
• Assist with and perform preventative maintenance activities on heavy equipment.
• Complete work orders and other maintenance documentation.
• Perform housekeeping duties and work area checks.
• May operate equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and small mobile equipment.
• Perform other duties as required.

What You Will Do

What You Bring To Freeport

• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
• Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
• Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently$22.00 - $29.50 hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
