Job summary

Granite State Manufacturing is seeking a Value Stream Leader to oversee the Mill and Lathe machining value stream, ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time production of high-precision parts. You will lead machinists, setup technicians, and support personnel while driving improvements in quality, delivery, productivity, and cost.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to meet customer requirements in a high-mix environment, applying strong machining

Qualifications

• 5+ years of machining manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, lead, or value stream management experience preferred.
• Experience in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume contract manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
• Experience with CNC milling and turning operations.
• Experience producing tight-tolerance components for demanding industrial, aerospace, defense, energy, heavy equipment, or similar markets preferred.
• Due to export-control requirements, all candidates must qualify as a U.S. Person or be authorized to access controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership to Mill and Lathe production personnel and drive safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Execute daily production plans to meet customer delivery commitments and optimize resource utilization.
• Promote a right-first-time culture and support first article inspections and process validation.
• Lead Kaizen events and use Lean tools to improve OEE, quality, throughput, and lead time.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements and manage incident investigations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to support new product introductions and transitions to production.
