Job summary

Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) is seeking a Production Operative to join its on-site team in Paynesville, MN. You will handle milk receiving and testing, maintain equipment CIP systems, and support sanitation and quality programs across the facility.

The role emphasizes food safety, GMP adherence, and collaboration with maintenance and lab staff. Prior dairy or manufacturing experience and a valid forklift license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Food manufacturing, material handling and forklift operation experience preferred.
• Must be able to maintain a valid forklift operator license.
• Prior experience in the dairy or cheese industry is preferred.
• Prior experience in manufacturing is a plus.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, OSHA and loss control programs is highly desirable.
• Previous dairy plant experience in equipment CIP procedure and safe milk handling.

Responsibilities

• Report safety, food safety and quality issues to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain recordkeeping and documentation, including load temperature and receiving logs.
• Perform tests and screenings on milk products as required.
• Sanitize equipment and maintain CIP systems.
• Oversee filling, storage and agitation in milk silos.
• Assist maintenance personnel with repairs or troubleshooting.
• Adhere to GMP and safety policies and report nonconformities.
