Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a Milk Bank Technician for the NICU. Working full-time days, you will support donor milk processing, data collection, and pasteurization under RN oversight.

You will operate the Sterifeed Pasteurizer, Calais Milk Analyzer, and Timeless Software, prepare milk for transport, maintain a clean work area, and assist with unit-dose feedings for NICU infants. This role requires a GED and healthcare exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Able to read and interpret data from equipment and computers.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing donor human milk under supervision.
• Gather data via Milk Bank Data Base and coordinate with RN.
• Pasteurize milk using the Sterifeed Pasteurizer and document results.
• Prepare milk for transport to laboratories or hospitals.
• Maintain a clean and organized milk bank work area.
• Provide basic customer services to visitors and staff.
• Prepare unit-dose feedings using Timeless Software for NICU infants.
