Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Nurse Practitioners to join as independent contractors serving military service members, primarily on weekends with occasional weekdays in Tennessee under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP). This role offers mobile, flexible deployment across installations.

Responsibilities include performing health assessments, reviewing medical histories, interviewing personnel, and documenting readiness classifications.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in the state.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health is preferred.
• Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology is preferred.
• Adaptable to fast-paced environments with high volumes of service members.
• Willingness to travel and work weekends, with some weekday shifts.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history and medical records of service members.
• Interview personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify urgent issues including behavioral health concerns.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the medical record.
