Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Nurse Practitioners to join as independent contractors providing health services to U.S. military service members. The role emphasizes weekend work with occasional weekday hours under RHRP in NH, operating on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities include assessing health, reviewing records, interviewing personnel, and documenting results for readiness classifications. Travel and remote-site work are common, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in the state.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience in primary, urgent or occupational health is preferred.
• Experience with mobile medical services is preferred.
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols, and terminology is preferred.
• Adaptable to fast paced environments with high daily service member volume.
• Able to travel and have weekend availability preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify any concerns to be addressed immediately, including Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using the proprietary system.
