Job summary

Magellan Health, Laughlin AFB, TX, seeks a Doctor of Physical Therapy to provide evidence-based rehabilitation and readiness-focused care for service members at the base. You will diagnose, treat, educate, and collaborate with clinicians to restore function and enhance overall readiness.

Qualifications

Doctor of Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
Possesses a current, active, unrestricted license to practice Physical Therapy in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
2+ years of post-licensure experience as a Physical Therapist in a high-performance environment.
Meets and maintains all applicable Military Treatment Facility (MTF) credentialing and privileging requirements.
Demonstrates the ability to work in dynamic environments, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support mission-focused care.
Demonstrates experience in designing and implementing physical therapy programs and treatment plans for individuals and groups.
Willingness to travel.
Proficiently utilizes computers, software, and technology to document work performed, utilization, and other information requirements.

Responsibilities

Evaluation and Treatment: Assesses and diagnoses musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions, then develops individualized rehabilitation plans to restore function and readiness.
Injury Prevention and Performance Optimization: Designs and delivers programs focused on injury prevention, strength, mobility, and overall physical readiness for mission demands.
Documentation and Compliance: Maintains accurate medical records and ensures compliance with military regulations, clinical standards, and privacy requirements.
Education and Consultation: Educates Service Members and leadership on injury management, recovery strategies, and physical health practices.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborates with physicians, strength and conditioning specialists, and other healthcare providers to support holistic care and mission readiness.
