Magellan Health, Laughlin AFB, TX, seeks a Doctor of Physical Therapy to provide evidence-based rehabilitation and readiness-focused care for service members at the base. You will diagnose, treat, educate, and collaborate with clinicians to restore function and enhance overall readiness.

Delivers one-on-one, evidence-based care to military personnel, including evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation services within Magellan Federal programs. Provides therapeutic interventions, education, injury prevention support, and collaboration on readiness initiatives while ensuring compliance with clinical standards and documentation requirements. Supports duty limitation recommendations and provides non-identifiable injury trend insights to leadership.
Evaluation and Treatment: Assesses and diagnoses musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions, then develops individualized rehabilitation plans to restore function and readiness. Provides evidence-based treatments such as therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and functional training. (30%)
Injury Prevention and Performance Optimization: Designs and delivers programs focused on injury prevention, strength, mobility, and overall physical readiness for mission demands. Integrates physical therapy within the broader Human Performance framework. (30%)
Documentation and Compliance: Maintains accurate medical records and ensures compliance with military regulations, clinical standards, and privacy requirements. (20%)
Education and Consultation: Educates Service Members and leadership on injury management, recovery strategies, and physical health practices. (10%)
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborates with physicians, strength and conditioning specialists, and other healthcare providers to support holistic care and mission readiness. (10%)
