Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Associate degree + 4 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's allowed.
• High school diploma + 6 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's allowed.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen; fluent English.
• If required, bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Ability to obtain a favorable Tier 2 investigation.
• Must pass OCI disclosures for conflicts of interest.
• Must have AFC, CFP, or ChFC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
• Assists in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develops and distributes informational financial materials.
• Coordinates and offers PFMS classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
• Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilizes virtual counseling and secure online communications when available.
• Manages duty to warn per DoD protocol.
• Communicates with leadership; participates in supervision and reviews.
• Participates in in-services, quality improvement, and contract activities.
• All other duties as assigned.
