Magellan Federal seeks a Personal Financial Counselor to provide comprehensive financial counseling and education to service members and their families at military installations, integrating DoD standards and DoDI 1322.34 topics.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 3+ years of counseling experience, and U.S. citizenship with English fluency. May require Spanish bilingual ability and an in-state license. Salary range is competitive with potential incentives and broad benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
• Contract may require bilingual English/Spanish.
• One of AFC, CFP, or ChFC certifications.
• Must obtain Tier 2 background investigation.
• Must pass OCI process.
• Driver license valid in-state.

Responsabilités

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
• Assists service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develops and makes available informational financial materials to service members and families.
• Coordinates, publicizes and provides Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilizes virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication as required.
• Manages Duty to Warn per DoD protocol.
• Communicates with leadership and participates in regular supervision.
• Participates in in-services/training and quality improvement activities.
• All other duties as assigned.

Associate degree + 4 years experience
