Magellan Health, Inc. seeks a Personal Financial Counselor for assignment-ready coverage in Cape Coral, FL. The role delivers financial counseling to service members and families, including budgeting, education and briefings, via in-site and virtual channels.

The candidate will work with DoD requirements, provide workshops, and coordinate with leadership. A bachelor's degree and 3+ years of counseling are required; U.S. citizenship and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Associate degree plus 4 years' experience may be considered.
• High school diploma plus 6 years' experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen and fluent English.
• Bilingual English/Spanish may be required by contract.
• Must be able to obtain a Tier 2 background investigation.
• Must pass the OCI disclosure process.
• Must have AFC, CFP, or ChFC certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services directly to service members and their families.
• Assists service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develops and makes available informational financial materials to service members and families.
• Coordinates, publicizes and provides Personal Financial Management classes/workshops.
• Uses virtual counseling or other electronic modes of communication as required.
• Manages duty to warn situations per DoD protocol and communicates with leadership.
• Participates in regular training, supervision and quality improvement activities.
• All other duties as assigned.
