Magellan Federal in Chattanooga, TN seeks a Personal Financial Counselor to deliver comprehensive financial counseling to service members and their families on military installations.

You will educate, present, and provide referrals, coordinate DoD-compliant workshops, and use virtual tools when required; candidates must have 3+ years counseling, BA or equivalent, and certifications AFC/CFP/ChFC; U.S. citizen, fluent English, and ability to obtain Tier 2 clearance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen and fluent English; bilingual in English and Spanish if required by contract.
• Bachelor's degree required; may consider associate degree with 4 years of experience or high school diploma with 6 years of experience.

Responsabilités

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families.
• Assists service members in establishing a spending plan for extended absences.
• Develops and makes available informational financial materials for service members and families.
• Coordinates and provides Personal Financial Management classes/workshops (DoDI 1322.34).
• Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilizes virtual counseling or other electronic communication modes when needed.
• Maintains DoD protocol and handles duty to warn situations.
• Communicates with leadership; participates in supervision and quality improvement activities.
• Participates in trainings and contract activities; performs other duties as assigned.
