Job summary

Magellan Health, Inc. in Indiana seeks a Personal Financial Counselor to provide assignment-ready coverage for military members and families. Responsibilities include one-on-one counseling, budgeting guidance, and conducting financial education classes at installations.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree, 3+ years of financial counseling, U.S. citizenship and English fluency; DoD clearance may be required. Certifications AFC/CFP/ChFC preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen and fluent English.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish may be required by contract.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
• Assists in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develops and distributes informational financial materials.
• Coordinates and delivers PFM classes/workshops across the military lifecycle.
• Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilizes virtual counseling tools and secure communications as needed.
• Adheres to DoD and program requirements; maintains supervision and reporting.
• Other duties as assigned.
