Job summary

The role includes budgeting, education, and a range of DoD‑aligned offerings, including virtual counseling and workshops, coordinating with installation staff, and ensuring adherence to program scope and security protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• May consider associates degree with 4 years' experience.
• May consider high school diploma with 6 years' experience.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen and fluent English.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish if required by contract.
• Able to obtain a favorable Tier 2 investigation.
• Must pass OCI disclosures for conflicts of interest.
• One of AFC, CFP, or ChFC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
• Assists members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
• Develops and distributes informational financial materials.
• Coordinates and delivers PFM classes/workshops on the military lifecycle.
• Responds to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
• Utilizes virtual counseling and secure communications as needed.
• Manages DoD protocol duties to warn and related obligations.
• Communicates with leadership and participates in supervision.
• Participates in training, quality improvement and other contract activities.
• All other duties as assigned.
