Job summary

DOCS Health seeks Nurse Practitioners to partner as independent contractors delivering health services to U.S. military service members across California and remote locations. The role emphasizes weekend availability with occasional weekday shifts under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP).

Responsibilities include health assessments, reviewing records, interviewing personnel, and documenting readiness in the clinical system. Background checks and E-Verify are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in the state.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience with primary care, urgent care or occupational health preferred.
• Experience with mobile medical services preferred.
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols and terminology preferred.
• Adaptable to fast-paced environments with large numbers of service members.
• Able to work extended hours and travel to remote locations, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support physical health assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records and questionnaires.
• Interview personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify concerns needing immediate attention, including behavioral health.
• Document interview results for readiness in the medical record using the proprietary system.
