Job summary

Magellan Health is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor to provide coverage in short-term, surge and on-demand situations for service members and families at military installations. The role includes one-on-one counseling, budgeting, briefings and referrals, with virtual options as needed.

You will work with installation leadership and POCs, develop financial materials, run workshops across the military lifecycle, and participate in training and quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizen and fluent English required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred if contract requires.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families on military installations.
• Assist budgeting and spending plans for extended absences.
• Develop and distribute financial informational materials.
• Coordinate and conduct personal financial management classes/workshops.
• Utilize virtual counseling tools when required and adhere to DoD protocols.
