Job summary

Magellan Health is seeking a Personal Financial Counselor to deliver one-on-one financial counseling and educational services to service members and their families at designated military installations.

The role covers budgeting, financial education, and coordinating a range of DoD-aligned personal financial management classes, with potential for virtual counseling and collaboration with installation leadership to meet program objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; may consider with related experience in lieu of degree.
• 3+ years of financial counseling experience.
• U.S. citizenship and fluent English; bilingual English/Spanish if required by contract.
• Must obtain a favorable Tier 2 background investigation and comply with OCI disclosures.
• Certifications: AFC, CFP, or ChFC.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and families.
• Assist with spending plans for extended absences and coordinate DoD-aligned classes/workshops.
• Develop and distribute informational financial materials; conduct briefings and seminars.
• Utilize virtual counseling modes as appropriate and coordinate with installation leadership.
