Job summary

AERRC is seeking tutors to support migrant students in reading, math and language arts. The role includes small-group and one-on-one instruction, classroom integration, and assisting teachers with migrant student needs. 7-hour workdays and a 9-month work year apply, with a New Hire hourly rate of $21.60 to $24.14, DOE.

Qualifications

• Must meet at least one of the three qualifications: diploma/AA/48 credits.
• High school–level knowledge in math, reading, and English.
• Experience maintaining student records and implementing educational plans.
• Experience in a collaborative instructional environment.
• Ability to work with teachers, principals, and district staff.
• Proven ability to relate to students and families from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Tutor migrant students primarily in reading, math and language arts.
• Provide academic support in small groups, one-on-one, and classroom integration.
• Support classroom teachers with migrant students needing academic assistance.
