Job summary

Monterey County Office Of Education is seeking a Family Service Advocate for Migrant Education in Salinas, CA. Under the general supervision of the Senior Director, you will identify and recruit eligible migrant children and provide instructional support to migrant students.

You will refer families to school and community resources, assist with reporting and identification procedures, and help students access services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus two years of higher education (48 semester units) or an Associate’s or higher degree.
• Two years’ experience in a Migrant Education Program or related youth services.
• Passing score on ESSA testing and Spanish language competency test.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit eligible migrant children and provide instructional support to migrant students.
• Refer and support students’ and families’ access to school and community resources.
