Step One Automotive in Pensacola, FL is seeking an Outside Salesperson to solicit parts business from assigned accounts and sell wholesale automotive parts for profit, volume and customer satisfaction goals. This position operates with a day shift as a full-time role.

The ideal candidate will visit customers, manage orders, coordinate with the warehouse, and maintain accurate records. Strong communication, integrity, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems.

Responsibilities

• Visits assigned customers.
• Prospects for new customers.
• Communicates parts orders to the warehouse.
• Checks delivery dates for non-stock items with customers.
• Reviews special orders for manager approval.
• Obtains manager approval for special pricing.
• Advises driver on delivery instructions.
• Follows up on orders to ensure proper service.
• Updates customer records with changes.
• Adds new customers to mailing lists.
• Attends training seminars when possible.
• Acts as a public relations liaison for the organization.
• Maintains a clean, presentable company sales vehicle.
• Maintains professional appearance.
• Other tasks as assigned.

The Outside Salesperson at Mighty solicits parts business from assigned accounts through personal and phone contacts and sells wholesale automotive parts for profit, volume and customer satisfaction goals. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Duties/Responsibilities

• Visits assigned customers.
• Prospects for new customers.
• Communicates parts orders to the warehouse.
• Checks with customers to ensure that delivery date of non-stock items is acceptable before ordering.
• Reviews any special orders with the manager and obtains his/her approval.
• Obtains manager's approval for any special pricing.
• Advises driver on delivery instructions.
• Follows up on orders to ensure that customers have been served properly.
• Turns in completed call reports, time sheets and expense reports.
• Updates customer records to reflect changes to customers' names, addresses etc.
• Adds new customers to appropriate mailing lists.
• Attends training seminars when possible.
• Acts as a public relations liaison for the organization.
• Maintains a clean and presentable company sales vehicle at all times (not for personal use).
• Maintains professional appearance.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and Motor Vehicle Report.
• Previous experience in the automotive parts industry preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
