Job summary

Tomball Controls in Pleasanton, TX is seeking a MIG Welder/Fabricator to build non-structural sheet metal enclosures and components. You will read drawings, fit parts, MIG-weld, grind, and assemble with attention to quality and efficiency.

Work 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM on a 12-hour shift, Thursday–Sunday, with 4 days per week. Candidates should have 1–2 years welding/fabrication experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and good teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

HS diploma or GED preferred.
2–3 years of MIG welding or fabrication experience preferred.
Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
Ability to pass a MIG welding qualification test.
Mechanical aptitude and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble non-structural components including enclosure wall panels, roof assemblies, doors, louvers, and brackets.
Perform MIG welding on light to medium gauge carbon steel components with clean welds and minimal distortion.
Read and interpret drawings, measure, lay out, fit and clamp assemblies prior to welding.
Operate welding equipment, grinders, plasma cutters, drills, and related tools.
Inspect finished parts for appearance and functionality; ensure conformance to specifications.
Maintain safe work environment following OSHA regulations and 5S principles.
Collaborate with fabrication, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams to meet production schedules.
