Automatic Handling International, Inc. is seeking a skilled fabricator to build large structures for custom machines in our Michigan shop.

You will prepare steel for welding, follow blueprints, drill and tap holes, and create precision welds to produce reliable assemblies. Responsibilities include GMAW welding, reading blueprints, operating power tools and overhead cranes, oxy-fuel cutting and plasma torching, and collaborating with engineers to resolve design issues while maintaining a clean,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years welding/ fabrication experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layouts.
• Proficient with fractions and decimals for measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform GMAW (Mig) welding.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Operate jig saw, belt sander, band saw, and other power tools.
• Operate 4.5- and 7-inch angle grinders.
• Operate overhead cranes and other industrial equipment.
• Oxy-fuel cutting and plasma torching.
• Identify potential problems with designs and work with engineers to find a solution.
• Clean work area at end of shift.
