Job summary

Link Engineering Company in Plymouth, Michigan, is seeking a Fabricator I to support the fabrication department through welding, fabrication, bending and shearing. The ideal candidate will read blueprints, verify material dimensions, and assemble parts to print tolerances.

You will weld with Heavy MIG, TIG and Stick processes, operate a shear, press brake and pinch roll, and use overhead crane and welding equipment.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Compute tolerances and measure materials precisely.
• Follow basic safety practices and use shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints.
• Check raw material for dimensional accuracy and quantity record.
• Fit and weld fabrications to print tolerance.
• Weld using Heavy MIG, TIG, and Stick processes.
• Operate a Shear machine, a Press Brake and a Pinch Roll.
• Operate overhead crane and welding machines.
• Proficiently finish and grind fabricated assemblies.
• Design and build jigs and fixtures to save time and ensure accurate positioning of components.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company core values.
• Perform all related duties as assigned.
• Travel up to 10% domestically.
