Job summary

Viking Fabrication Services LLC in California is seeking a Welder to produce high-quality welded pipe assemblies in a fast-paced fabrication environment. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to complete welding certification requirements.
• Experience operating welding and plasma equipment in a production setting.
• Experience in a fast-paced fabrication environment is preferred.
• Ability to read basic fabrication drawings and tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated welding and plasma equipment to weld outlets onto pipe per specs.
• Perform manual rewelds as required to meet quality standards.
• Load, position, and unload pipe using proper handling techniques.
• Inspect welded assemblies for quality and compliance.
• Apply certification stamps to welds with designated tools.
• Transfer finished pipe to carts and staging areas for downstream processing.
• Operate banding equipment to prepare bundles for shipping when required.
• Read work orders, drawings, and fabrication docs to complete tasks accurately.
• Measure materials with tape measures and verify dimensions.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety rules.
• Complete required safety, equipment, and SOP training.
• Support other fabrication or production activities as needed.
